Professional Bio:
Richard was born and raised in Central Pennsylvania. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (Cum Laude) in 1976, and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1979. Upon graduation, Richard clerked for the Honorable Richard B. Wickersham on the Pennsylvania Superior Court. In 1982, Richard entered private practice where he initially represented insurance companies in personal injury cases. In 1988, Richard switched sides and joined a plaintiffs' personal Injury law firm as a partner. In 2000, Richard founded Freeburn & Hamilton.

Richard is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania and Federal Courts and County Bar Associations in Central Pennsylvania. Richard is a member of the American Association for Justice and is a member of the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (formerly Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association).

Richard has been selected for inclusion in the Super Lawyers Edition 2011. Super Lawyers is an independent rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition for professional achievement. Only 5% of lawyers in Pennyslvania were selected for the 2011 Super Lawyers Edition. Richard has also received a Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating of AV, which means that he was and is deemed by his peers to possess pre-eminent legal ability and very high professional ethics.

Richard is privileged to represent injury victims against insurance companies.
 
Personal Bio:
Richard and Debra Freeburn (formerly Debra Shattls) were married in 1977. Debra was born and raised in Lebanon Pennsylvania, and is a teacher. Richard and Debra have been blessed with 2 wonderful children and 2 beautiful grandchildren.
