Freeburn Law Wins Jury Verdict
Freeburn Law is pleased to announce that Richard E. Freeburn won a jury verdict in Dauphin County on behalf of a pedestrian injured by car. Freeburn was assisted by Ryan McDaniel.
The defendant driver claimed she brought her car to a stop before entering the crosswalk, and that she never hit the Plaintiff. Freeburn was able to prove that Defendant did not see Plaintiff until she hit him, and that she could not see the crosswalk from where she was sitting in the car.
Freeburn had the firm’s in-house investigator photograph the accident scene from a car identical to Defendant’s. He placed the car exactly where the Defendant testified she had brought her car to a stop. He adjusted the driver’s seat exactly how Defendant testified she had adjusted her seat. He then took a series of pictures from the driver’s eye level that showed that driver could not see the crosswalk from her position.
The victory was particularly satisfying because Defendant had denied all liability.
