Pedestrian Killed By Car Backing Out of Parking Space

Fox 43 is reporting that a man was killed last night in the parking lot of Swatara State Park in Lebanon County. Bruce C. Fuhrman’s caretaker was backing out of a parking space and accidentally hit him as Fuhrman was walking next to the vehicle. Fuhrman suffered from head and torso injuries, which later killed him.

Although drivers are typically driving at slower speeds in parking lots, there is still a risk of injury or death when a pedestrian is hit.
